Dr. Steven Lovitt earned his Doctor of Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine. He completed an Internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas, Houston, followed by a Neurology residency and a two-year Fellowship in Neuromuscular Disease at Baylor College of Medicine. He has extensive experience not only in General Neurology but also in Neuromuscular Disease. Dr. Lovitt performs EMG studies with nerve conduction studies and also performs and interprets muscle and nerve biopsies. He served as the Co-Director of the Muscular Dystrophy Clinic and the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Clinic while teaching at the medical school in San Antonio, Texas. Since 2003, he has practiced with The Neurology Center. Dr. Lovitt was selected to serve on the committee tasked by the United Council for Neurologic Sub-specialties, responsible for writing the national examination required for licensure in Clinical Neuromuscular Pathology.
