Dr. Schulberg was born and raised in New York. He attended Binghamton University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. He then attended New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he earned his medical degree in 2016.
He went on to complete his general surgery residency at NYU Langone Health – Brooklyn, where he graduated as chief resident. Following residency, Dr. Schulberg completed a fellowship in minimally invasive colon and rectal surgery at the University of Texas Houston, McGovern Medical School, one of the highest volume robotic colorectal surgery programs in the nation. While in Houston, he received advanced training and additional certification in minimally invasive robotic surgical techniques.
Dr. Schulberg is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and has presented at both national and international surgical conferences. He is a member of SAGES, the American College of Surgeons, and the American Society of Colorectal Surgeons. Dr. Schulberg’s practice focuses on using minimally invasive techniques, such as the DaVinci Robot and laparoscopy, to care for patients and improve postoperative outcomes. He greatly values the personal relationships he develops with patients during their care.
In his free time, Dr. Schulberg enjoys cooking, traveling, and rooting for the Mets. He especially loves spending time with his wife and son.

Dr. Schulberg made everything clear and was extremely comfortable to deal with. He did robotic hernia surgery on me and made the entire experience effortless and for the most part painless. If I ever need surgery again i would without a doubt go to him and I would recommend him to anybody. The surgery was done at North Shore University Hospital and I was very pleased with the entire experience.
