Patient reviews for Dr. Steven Sheskier
He was nice and kind and professional.
Person who checks you out is nice and knows her stuff.
Dr. Sheskier was very professional and polite - would certainly recommend!
He knows what he's talking about and was truly the right Dr for what I was going through. He can seem jovial somedays and a little distant other days. However, he knows what he's doing and he addresses my concerns and fears. I've been feeling great ever since and have recommended a few of my friends to him who have had foot issues.
This was not a positive experience. Had 2 visits with the Doc for a very painful foot injury. Doc ordered X-rays, MRI at first visit. Second visit was to review MRI. He seemed far more concerned w/ impressing the medical residents shadowing him than w/ properly assessing my injury and recommending best treatment. He reviewed MRI and suggested doing nothing. I reminded him I was still experiencing considerable pain and was a competitive tennis player and he then changed course and recommended a surgical procedure. I'm glad I didn't have my foot operated on because pain soon subsided, and better shoes was all that was needed. I found it unsettling that he was prepared to do an operation that was entirely unnecessary. His front desk asst is often nowhere to be seen.
Very knowledgeable and easy to talk to.
Doctor never even called me back to follow up after my appointment. He was presented with all of my xrays and mri’s and I waiting in excruciating pain for a call back to determine if/when surgery would be needed and was NEVER even called back or followed up with....just forgotten and dropped like a statistic.
There are lengthy forms to fill on the first time. Almost no wait time to see the Dr, he's very professional and explains everything. There is an Xray in the facility, so imaging can be done in no time, if needed. Highly recommended.
I was very impressed and he spent time to explain.
Very personable; felt comfortable with his medical knowledge and explanation of diagnosis.
Very bright and caring doctor, He took his time explaining to me my options and used a model to demonstrate what my problem was. I never felt rushed. He answered all my questions. His secretary was very polite and helped scheduled me a sonogram. A little bit of a wait, but definitely worth it. I highly recommend Dr. Sheskier.
Wonderfully doctor! Takes the time to explain the anatomical and mechanical processes underlying the injury/defect. Does a thorough exam, doesn’t just rely on radiology. Wait times are on the long side, but understandable considering the extra care and attention he gives. Office staff was hit or miss, although it wasn’t entirely clear which employees worked for each practice sharing the space.
The doctor has an odd bedside manner and the wait is always horrendous. There are better doctors with better staffs...
Doctor was very educational and well versed on my problem. Waiting time was minimal.
The doctor knew exactly what he was talking about and provided a plan of action that made sense. Great bedside manner and short wait times made this is an enjoyable visit.
Doc had good beside manner. Less knowledgeable than other leading foot ankle specialists in nyc. Billing / schedule coordinator was unprofessional, did not understand my insurance policy and did not bother to call the providers number on back of card
I waited over an hour to be seen . I was never notified of my MRI results so after 3 weeks and 3 phone calls ,I was finally told to make another appointment .
He is great. Doesn't rush to surgery and very thorough.
he's great. the wait time was excessive.
Dr. Sheskier LITERALLY saved my life, LITERALLY. I had been to a number of doctors; one had recommended surgery immediately, one had told me nothing was wrong, etc. However, in one visit he diagnosed me, got me on the proper course of treatment. No surgery needed, orthotics, nerve meds, and a steroid shot, good to go. Love Dr. Sheskier. Love him. Thank you!!!!!!! His office is awesome, love Maggie!
He is a very kind, considerate doctor. He performed surgery on my right foot ten years ago. He remembered me after all these years. The staff is very pleasant. My appointment was booked by Zoc Doc for 11:30, the office had it for 12 Noon. As a result, I waited a very long time. I arrived earlier than 11:15 since there would be paperwork. So by the time I saw him I was exhausted. I don't know how the scheduling mistake was made, but it added unnecessary wait time.
The office staff is very pleasant and helpful. He is a very thorough, professional doctor. He has an excellent bedside manner.
Sheskier is a fine doctor, but between two visits I've spent more than three hours in the waiting room. Find another doctor, his solid bedside manner is, unfortunately, not worth the wait.
Ripped off an uninsured student for no treatment. Waited for ever.
Extremely knowledgable and helpful
He is one of the top doctors when it comes to feet and ankles
Dr. Sheskier is the best. I'm a dancer and a runner -- and impatient with resting -- he makes me feel cared for and informed. I appreciate the way he took the time to make sure my injury was properly diagnosed and properly treated, and most importantly, he talked to me like I was a smart, body-conscious athlete (not all doctors do!). Never condescending or brisk, always explaining body mechanics to me. Plus, he knows a ton about sports and dance injuries. I am so grateful! Also, his staff is lovely to a person. Warm and welcoming even when the office is crazy.
The Dr. and the staff EXCEL. The wait time sucks, but I would defiantly say that Dr. Sheskier and the staff ROCK and are worth the wait !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dr. Sheskier is thorough, professional, and friendly. I received x-rays at the office with no delay. Highly recommended, thank you!
I liked him verymuch. Kind and funny. I did not feel rushed and he answered all my questions. Staff was amazing, happy and showed realconcetn. I feel very good going into my surgery. 100% recommend him.
I waited more than 90 min my first visit and between 30-60 min the second visit (even though I scheduled that one for very early in the am). He rushed through both consultations. He seems more interested in teaching the parade of medical students that he brought into the consultations than in actually treating me as a patient. He also seemed to be emotionally erratic. I overheard him telling a staff member to "shut up" because too many people required his attention. His radiologist took an X-ray of the wrong leg then blamed me for not telling her she was mistaken. I will not go back to him.
First time seeing him. He was very helpful and knowledgeable.
Thoughtful doctor, terrible wait time.
Wait time was minimal. I really liked Dr. Sheskler. He had a great bedside manner and I felt like his advice for my injury was spot-on.
Good doctor but the receptionists are incompetent.
Very good doctor. Definitely knows what he's doing. Good hours.
Dr. Sheskier is fantastic. He takes the time to listen to you and thoroughly assess the situation. His office staff is warm and polite, and although I waited a little longer than I would have liked-- I think it was mostly due to the fact that I was a new patient. I would highly recommend him and urge you to check him out if you're looking for an orthopedist.
The office contacted me to reschedule appointment. I was pleased with my appointment. Dr. Sheskier was professional and personable. Would recommend.
