Doctor Issleib is an amazing professional -- knowledgable and with great bedside manor. Unfortunately, I had to cancel my follow-up appointment to to personal and other medical problems that I needed to take care of first, but I will definitely visit his office in future if needed and will recommend him to my friends and family.

Dr. Stuart Issleib has been a practicing, board certified gastroenterologist for the past 22 years in Chicago and the Western suburbs. His areas of expertise are in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopy, upper endoscopy and ERCP. His specific interests include colorectal neoplasms, peptic ulcer disease and IBS. In 2003, Dr. Issleib was re-certified in gastroenterology with the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is an Associate Professor of Medicine/Gastroenterology at the University of Illinois. He has been a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology since 2005 as well as an active member in the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He is a 6 time winner of "The Best Doctors-Specialists in the Chicago Metropolitan Area" award from Castle and Connolly. His philosophy in medicine is that a patient should have an active role in their health and the more educated a patient is, the better chance they have for a healthy life. When not practicing Gastroenterology he enjoys golfing (11 handicap), hiking and traveling (especially in South America).

Seems like the doctor ran the same series of tests I have already had simply to charge insurance. No results of multiple tests showed anything new or valuable. I feel like my time and money were wasted and I got no results.

An excellent doctor. He is very thorough, answers all your questions, and is very personable along with being very professional. The endoscopy he performed, was so well done that I did not have any side effects that are normally complained about by people who have had the same procedure elsewhere. Would highly recommend him.

This was my second office visit to review test results with Dr. Issleib. All my tests were scheduled in a timely manner, and completed very efficiently and professionally. The intake personal and nurses in the out patient surgery center were helpful, compassionate, and professional. Dr. Issleib had all the resulted to review with me at the time of my follow up appointment. Dr. Issleib is continuing to work with me to help me come up with a treatment plan that will help me solve my medical problems. I can't thank Dr. Issleib and his staff for all their great medical care.

No wait time, I registered, then was called right back. Dr. Issleib was very professional and very knowledgeable. After reviewing the medical records I brought in, we discussed several items, and decisions were made on testing and procedures. I accomplished more in one office visit with Dr. Issleib than I have in six months with my previous G.I. physician . Would recommend this physician to anyone looking for a good G.I. doctor.

He rushed me through so fast my head was spinning. I couldn't even ask all my questions nor give all my symptoms. When I told him I wanted to ask him some questions he told me hurry up you have 2 minutes. My appt lasted 2 minutes. I'm paying for this appointment time. He was rude and not helpful. I will not be returning. I do not recommend him. Usually the wait time is an hour to 2 hours.

I just didn't like to wait after my appointment was rescheduled, initially was for 9:30 am was moved to 9:00 am and the doctor saw me at 9:35 am. Other that that everything was excellent.

Dr. Issleib is really good explaining about your illness and the treatment. However, it is extremely hard to follow up with him because simply his assistant does not pick up the phone. I tried to call at least twice a week -once 7 times a day-, and left a voice message twice, but no one called me back. He seems a good doctor but there was no response outside of his office.
