I was immediately impressed with the time that this very busy gentleman takes with me, each time I see him. Clinically, he is a master in his field. AND, as you would expect, from a gentleman such as Dr. Kini, he only has the very best practitioners working together with him. These include his surgical fellows, the nurses and nurse practitioners, the office nutritionists, and the list goes on! Bottom Line: Dr. Subash Kini- HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Dr. Kini is the Director of the Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Divison of Mount Sinai St. Luke's Hospital. He is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine. He is also the director of the Baritric Fellowhip at Mount Sinai St. Luke's.
After training in general surgery in the United Kingdom, he went on to do a Laparoendoscopic Fellowship at the Welsh Institute of Minimal Access Therapy in Cardiff, UK.. Dr. Kini is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) of England, Edinburgh, and Glasgow. After completing a laparoscopic research fellowship in Mount Sinai Medical Center and a laparoscopic clinical fellowship in New York Medical College, Dr. Kini joined the faculty of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in the Division of Laparoscopic Surgery at Mount Sinai in 2004. Dr. Kini is certified by the American Board of Surgery. He also serves on the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) Resident Committee and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) Research Committee. Dr. Kini has been performing advanced laparoscopic surgery since 1995. His practice is focused primarily on advanced laparoscopic bariatric surgery, anti reflux surgery and advanced laparosocpic surgery. Dr. Kini is currently performing research in several areas of minimally invasive bariatric procedures and antireflux surgery. Dr. Kini is also currently pursuing his PhD in Clinical Research at Mount Sinai Hospital.
