We brought our son in for an evaluation by Dr. Suhas. We arrived as scheduled for our appointment and were seen promptly, with preliminary vitals first collected. My wife and I then met with Dr. Suhas. He asked us the reason for our visit and went through a series of questions based on our responses, being careful to listen to input from both my wife and I. He then conducted an evaluation on our son and provided his recommendation. We were very pleased with his attention, the outcome, and the visit overall.

I am a board-certified Pediatric Rheumatologist in private practice in central New Jersey and I am a New Jersey native. I completed my undergraduate studies at Harvard in 2001, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual and Environmental Studies, magna cum laude. I went on to obtain a doctorate in medicine at Harvard Medical School in 2006. Following that, I completed residency in General Pediatrics and a fellowship in Pediatric Rheumatology at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles where I received awards for excellence in teaching.
I am available for in-person appointments one week per month in New Jersey with evening and weekend hours for your family’s convenience. Outside of that time, I am readily available through telemedicine appointments and direct messaging in order to address all of your questions and concerns. I have admitting and consulting privileges at St. Peter’s University Hospital and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ.
I worked as a Pediatric Rheumatologist at Kaiser Permanente in Northern California for three years and subsequently worked at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego for six years. I was an Associate Professor at UCSD School of Medicine and was highly-rated as a lecturer and teacher. In my role as an Associate Professor, I also contributed to clinical research and published several articles (see below). In addition to clinical work, teaching and research, I volunteer regularly as a camp physician at Camp Painted Turtle, a camp for children with chronic medical conditions.
I have been fortunate to train and practice in some of the world’s best institutions and I bring that experience to your family in my private practice. Outside of medicine, I enjoy oil painting, tennis, gardening, hiking and playing with my two children.

Dr. "Rad" is the perfect pediatric doc - kind and respectful; I love it when a pediatrician is respectful to children! He is knowledgable but also curious and patient and humble. I have seen him change his mind; again, it's a small thing but I do not take for granted having a doctor for my child who is willing to search for an answer or double-check his own work.
This all also speaks to how collaborative he has been with us. He made our daughter feel like he saw her as a whole person, not just a disease to be treated. She feels like she can tell him just about anything. The only negative about Dr. "Rad" is that I think he has spoiled us on what to expect from any other doctor!

I was very pleased with my visit. My daughter was diagnosed with scleroderma. It was hard finding someone with knowledge as well as someone that would take a child. He was great very thorough, patient and took the time to explain what’s going on and future treatment plans that I felt comfortable with.
