About Dr. Dawn Wahezi

Dr. Dawn Wahezi is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and an Attending Physician in the Division of Pediatric Rheumatology at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore and Montefiore Medical Center. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the State University of New York, Buffalo, School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Wahezi completed her residency in Pediatrics and fellowship in Pediatric Rheumatology at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore. Dr. Wahezi is devoted to ensuring the continued health of her patients and developing long-lasting relationships with them. She has a special interest in juvenile dermatomyositis and pediatric lupus and is currently engaged in several research projects within these domains. Additional areas of focus include antiphospholipid antibody syndrome, vasculitis, and childhood systemic vasculitides. Dr. Wahezi is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Rheumatology by the American Board of Pediatrics.
