The reason I seeked initial care was never even addressed. I left with no plan of care and I was in pain. No one called to schedule a scope. The Dr didn’t re-check my BP after the medical assistant clearly had a wrong reading. I was called and told my bloodwork was fine but wasn’t given a medication protocol for my chronic acid reflux and the pain I was in, which is why I scheduled a visit to begin with. Their was no compassion during my visit and I felt hurried along. I didn’t feel like I was taken seriously. I am not used to this kind of care. I’m new to Lansing and will search for a more thorough Dr and one who actually cares.

Me and My wife visited Dr.Suma Thomas for an annual checkup, she had a chat with us hardly for 10 minutes and asked us to come back in a month for full checkup. Right from entering i informed every staff and doctor that this visit is for Annual checkup, nobody informed us that Annual checkup wont be done on 1st visit, later they took blood from me alone as my wife already had done these tests in sparrow in recent times. Staff's informed us that these are for annual checkup. After a week Aetna informed me that i have been charged X amount for our visit. when contacted Aetna , they informed me none of these are coded as annual checkup and lab is out of n/w. we contacted the clinic and clinic was giving that we cant help for out of n/w lab as it will be patients responsibility to check. how come patient knows which lab clinic uses. only thing patient can check is whether clinic is in or out of n/w. Also Dr charged 2X for our 10 minute visit .

Dr. Thomas has a caring approach and took time to answer all of my questions thoughtfully. Her bedside manner is excellent and made me feel respected and listened to. Dr. Thomas is a great physician who I highly reccomend.

I'm not fond of Dr's, but I would recommend Dr. Thomas for anyone. Makes visiting the Dr very easy, good communication & explains anything you may not fully understand.
