Fine except that I wasn't seen until 45 minutes after my appt time, which is a bit much. I received 4 reminders (email from ZocDoc, calendar reminder from ZocDoc, email from eye doc office, and phone call from eye doc office), and made a point to arrive a few minutes early...if they're going to have me get so many reminders, then I would prefer that they also try to stay on schedule.

Optometry has given me so much to be thankful for. The privilege of meeting and getting to know wonderful people everyday and helping them enjoy sharp, comfortable vision. I love watching them walk out with a pair of stylish frames that shine with their personality and uniqueness. Myoptic gives me the perfect space to do what I love and do it the best way I can. I graduated from the University of California at Berkeley where I studied economics and vision science, receiving my degree as an Optometric Physician in 1997. After practicing in California for eight years, I found Portland, Oregon and fell in love with its people, energy and beauty.
In my free time I stay active in the gym and on bike trails. I received my certification for personal training last year for the heck of it. I spend valuable time with family and stay motivated in personal growth and community involvement. When I can, I’ll book a flight to soak in some sun and culture and bring back ideas to keep Myoptic exciting and new.

Summy was great, as was the front of house staff, Chelsea. Both were attentive and followed up on my needs and concerns. When I revealed I was trans, there was a pronoun shift away from my preferred pronouns, but I was treated in a professional and courteous manner. Chealsea helped me get the best deal on my contacts and printed out everything I needed to get a rebate on my order and also helped me understand my insurance and how my plan is going to shift in the coming weeks and make the best use of both plans. Thanks for a great experience!

This is a great place! The doc and staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and modern. It's so handy their lab is onsite. After my eye exam, I waited 15 minutes to have the lenses replaced in my glasses. I highly recommend Myoptic!

The appointment was for my 11 year old daughter. We were very happy with the whole experience, from the exam with the doctor to choosing glasses after. All the staff there is courteous and friendly. We will definitely go back!

Nice cozy spot with lots of light. Used to big optometry joints and this place felt right at home. They offered me coffee and tea and were friendly and accommodating. Saw they could have offered me a beer! but it was 10 am so I declined. Might go back just to have a cold one and try on some spectacles. Nice selection of glasses as well including a few made locally. Felt at ease walking out of the door knowing they also contribute to organizations in the Portland area.
