Dr. Bhatia took the time to thoroughly go through my medical history, my present illness, and all of my concerns. He then explained to me in great detail, his opinion and his treatment plan. What impressed me the most about Dr. Bhatia was his interest in how I wanted to proceed with resolving my condition not just pushing me to test, test, test. I loved the feeling of collaborating with my doctor To get the best result for MY health. I would definitely recommend Dr. Bhatia to everyone I know!

This Dr is smart and caring. It was my first visit to a cardiologist after repeated chest pains at my ripe old age of 43. The staff is courteous and organized.

Dr. Sunny Bhatia is an Interventional Cardiologist who is quadruple board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Nuclear Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology.
Dr. Bhatia received his Bachelor’s degree from the prestigious University of Pennsylvania, an Ivy League institution. He obtained his Medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School and completed an Internal Medicine Residency at the world renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. While at the Mayo Clinic, Dr. Bhatia received numerous awards and accolades. He completed his Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Southern California. He pursued further training in Interventional Cardiology at Kaiser Permanente, Los Angeles Medical Center.
Dr. Bhatia has authored numerous publications and has presented his research at numerous national and international meetings. He also is involved in many charitable causes including the World Children’s Initiative and the Uganda Heart Project.
Dr. Bhatia currently serves as the Medical Director and Director of Cardiac Services of the Encino Medical Center. He is a member of the Medical Executive Committee of Encino Medical Center.
Dr. Bhatia has established a private Cardiology practice in Sherman Oaks that is dedicated to serving the needs of his patients with a focus on the evaluation and management of chest pain, coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, hypertension, valvular heart disease, heart disease in women, and maintaining cardiovascular wellness. He strives to provide the attention to detail and compassion that each patient and family deserves.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Sunny and his staff! I went in after going about four years without having a heart murmur checked (gasp), and this was so simple. Parking was free in the building lot, I waited less than five minutes to be seen, and both the nurse and Dr. Sunny were both very friendly and thorough. Dr. Sunny called my previous doctor's office to get to know my history, asked me to also go over it with him myself, and then explained the scan results (which were normal). He then went on to offer to do blood work down the hall in the lab, just so I could check where some of my numbers were at, as opposed to when I was in college. Lastly, he recommended an internist, explained what an internist is used for, and also gave me the name of an endocrinologist (actually gave me the names of three, but explained why he felt this gentleman would be the best fit for me). Today, less than 24 hours later, he called me to explain that my lab results were all very good, and said we would go over them in person at my EKG next week. I am absolutely wowed by the level of service provided, as I am generally skeptical of doctors, and assume they feel too busy to spend real time with their patients. Thank you Dr. Sunny for being a refreshing, compassionate individual in the medical industry!
