Surinder Malhotra is a compassionate and friendly ear, nose, and throat doctor serving his patients in Rego Park, NY. Dr. Malhotra is affiliated with the Flushing Hospital Medical Center, and he is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology.
Dr. Malhotra has been in practice since 1978, and it is his life’s passion to serve his patients with excellent, family-quality care. He began his medical education at the Government Medical College in his native Patiala, India. He then completed his general surgery internship at the University Medical Center at Princeton, before he completed his otolaryngology residency at the Bellevue University. Dr. Malhotra provides services for his patients that include cancer screenings, ENT appointments and consultations, and allergy follow-ups. So my appointment was at 2PM, I walked in around 1:50PM. Nobody greeted or asked questions so I just signed my name in and I indicated that I was a new patient. Usually they’ll check if your new and ask you to fill in paperwork. Thirty-five minutes passed and they did not once check the sign in sheet so I went up and asked myself if I need to fill out new patient forms. They asked who am I here to see and when I said the Doctors name they told me I signed the wrong sign in sheet and then they gave me new patient forms. By 3:15 I was seen. Sat at the doctors desk for 5 minutes, answered questions, sat in the chair to check the problem, then was sent out to do a test, sent back in his office for another test, then sent outside to wait for another 40 minutes. By 4PM I was finally sent back in and then just told to make another appointment for certain tests. All that waiting just to been seen for a total of 15 minutes.

I waited for 2 hours and he only saw me for 5 minutes. He also doesn’t listen. I told him I had reflux, but he kept giving me allergy medicine. Office is also pretty dirty. Never going back.

The worst place. Had an appointment at 4:30 for the hearing test went on time at doctors office but the doctor left with out letting anyone know. So no one called us not to go there, and the worst part they make us sign the papers and kept us there for 1/2 hour. No one told us nothing , I had to go and ask what is the waiting time for personnel to realize that we were there and doctor is not. So I had to leave my job travel to his office and doctor left.

Quick and to the point. Oh man, that allergy test got me, was ready to scratch my arm off. Lol but now to get this CT Scan so I can really know what’s going on inside this stupid nose of mine. One of the assistants was super helpful with what to expect and do after they set up my appointment for the scan. Thanks again!

Dr. Malhotra was very thorough. I was hesitant to book due to the reviews on wait time. However, even though his office was full, I was speaking to the dr. Within 30 mins of arriving. I discovered a possible source of my hearing loss (which other doctors have not ever mentioned) and we are beginning treatment.
The ladies in the office were quick and efficient. Perhaps not the friendliest reception but very professional.
I am very satisfied.

He was friendly, and attentive. He cleaned my ear because of an ear infection. His medical clothes looked dirty so did his office. The procidure was painflu and I was really shocked when blood came put of my ear.
The doctor said it was fine, it was just the infection and that I would be ok. He's treatment did help me with the infection.
I was late for the appointment on a holiday...I went there as an emergency because I woke up with a really bad ear infecction and the staff was really rude although they waited for me.

I thought Dr. Malhotra was a lovely gentleman with a great sense of humor, however as he was flushing out earwax from my a patient's ears he did not use gloves, clean equipment, or a drape. As earwax was flushed out, the kind physician did not wash his hands afterwards but just simply wiped them on his lab coat.

Dr. Malhotra is absolutely the best in his field. He is extremely knowledgeable and very experienced in performing procedures. He makes me feel at ease and has a wonderful personality. His skills in his field are absolutely impressive. He performed a procedure for me in his office and I am so very pleased by the outcome and by his level of service and concern. I am referring to everyone and definitely coming back again and again.
