Getting to know Dr. Susan Bush
Birchwood Clinic, LLC provides virtual and in-person mental health services to adults in the Bucktown/Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago. Our holistic approach strives to empower each client to achieve balance, clarity, and overall health and wellness. Our areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, women’s health issues, grief, life transitions, and relationship concerns.
We also treat those with other health-related issues such as cancer, ante- and post-partum depression, fertility issues, and coping with medical conditions such as chronic headaches. Our approach with clients is holistic in nature as we strive to promote overall personal wellness.
Through a flexible therapeutic environment that honors the uniqueness of each individual’s experience, Birchwood Clinic's aim is to empower our clients to live in accordance with their values and goals and to develop meaningful insights, growth, and change. Our collaborative approach is open and informative, and our goal is to create a space where clients can feel supported and understood.
Our clinical expertise is supported by advanced training, including a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Cardinal Stritch University.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Life's transitions can create stress, uncertainty, and disconnection from yourself and those around you. As a clinical psychologist, my goal is to help you identify your strengths, build your sense of self and create goals that bring direction, fulfillment, and self-acceptance.
I provide in-person and virtual psychotherapy for adults and my areas of expertise include: depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, women's health issues, grief, life transitions, and relational concerns. I also work with other health related issues such as cancer, post-partum depression, fertility issues, and coping with chronic medical conditions.
My approach with clients is holistic in nature as I strive to promote overall personal wellness. Through an open and informative therapeutic environment that honors the uniqueness of each individual, my aim is to empower clients to live in accordance with their values and to develop meaningful insights, growth, and change.
