Dr. Susan Fromer is an ophthalmologist who specializes in the treatment of cataracts, glaucoma, and laser vision correction. She graduated with honors from Rutgers University. She went on to receive her medical degree at NYU Medical School. She then completed a medical internship at Lenox Hill Hospital and residency training at St Vincent's Hospital. She has done additional training in cornea and laser refractive surgery at Mercy Hospital. She has been board-certified since 1992. In 2004, Dr. Fromer was an assistant clinical professor of ophthalmology at Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital where she was a resident instructor, training the residents in ophthalmic surgery. Dr. Susan Fromer was a preceptor for a glaucoma fellowship with Dr. Maurice Luntz at Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital in New York. Dr. Fromer has had extensive experience in laser-assisted cataract surgery, premium intraocular lens implantation, complex and advanced techniques in cataract surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), and traditional and implant glaucoma surgery, and laser treatments for glaucoma. Dr. Fromer is an NYPD Honorary Police Surgeon. She has been named as a Castle Connolly top doctor. Dr. Susan Fromer is fluent in English and Spanish.
