The visit with Susana was quick and informative. It was a no frills kind of appointment which I don't mind. I was surprised to find out that Odyssey Optical does not in fact take appointments. I didn't have a wait time but I wouldn't be surprised if my appointment wasn't honored if there were others ahead of me upon entry.

I absolutely recommend! The staff was extremely helpful, kind, and overall just a pleasure to interact with. Because I was paying out of pocket, they explained all of the costs so i would have all of the information. There was minimal wait time. The doctor was wonderful through the whole appointment and helped me pick new contacts since my old ones have been discontinued. Will definitely return.

Dr. Susanna Lee was very professional, yet friendly optometrist ive ever met~~~~~! She is very competent in what she does yet knows how to make patients comfortable, i hate doing the air puffs so she noticed it when i was told to put my face im front of a machine thinking it was the air puffing machine! Lol. She used yellow drops that tests the same thing as an alternative! She thoroughly explained about my eye conditions n what can be done~ i was so satisfied w her, i even got my Chanel sunglasses lenses replaced there too! Coming back for my glasses pick up & getting the dialatiom testing soon too!

When I arrived for my appointment, I filled out my paperwork. About fifteen minutes after my appointment was supposed to begin, I was told it would be 45-60 minutes before the doctor saw me. I would not recommend this business to anyone who wants things done in a timely manner. I have chosen to take my business elsewhere. Very disappointing, as I've had a great experience here in the past.

This is the second time I have seen Dr. Lee both times for a eye exam and contact fitting. She is very thorough and makes sure the contacts fit well.

It's been two years since my last prescription. The glasses I got two years ago got me dizzy looking at computers.
Dr Lee checked my eyes and the glasses and told me I am not required to get new prescription. Apparently my old glasses are not made for close up reading. She also suggested me to get prescription sunglasses.
I would recommend Dr Lee to my friends.

Everyone at this office is great! The doctor was running a tiny bit behind so they helped me pick out glasses while I waited instead of doing it after my exam. Ended up being quick, easy and thorough.

Havent been to an eye doctor since I was a kid (back when i had glasses) but Dr. Susana Lee was awesome at explaining everything to me. She made sure I got everything checked and hooked me up with some cool cheaply priced glasses. (even though i dont need prescriptions) everyone there was super nice. Had an appt on a Sat, but was seen right away, everyone was very accommodating and I had a very pleasant experience. Would def! go again and recommend to my friends, especially those who actually need glasses ;-p

The doctor itself was fine. She explained what she was doing and was vry professional.
The issue is the front office... it is pretty disorganized. They seemed botheed that I requested some form of itemized receipt so I could file a claim with my vision insurance company. After a while, I was basicaly given a list of the charges on a small notepad sheet.

I thought Dr. Lee was an extremely patient and caring doctor. I had many, many questions about my eyes, and she was not frustrated or rushed in answering. She was articulate and knowledgeable in her explanations, and when my questions went outside the scope of her expertise, she admitted she did not know and made recommendations as to whom to ask, which I think is the mark of a truly great doctor. The whole staff is very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back.

As soon as I sat down, I didn't feel comfortable. As an eyeglass shop, the staff is nice, but very young, and the 20'ish or younger folks were taking my personal information from across the room, for everyone to hear. It's one of the few instances I felt uncomfortable, giving my info.
I was seen a half hour after the scheduled appointment time, and while the doctor was nice and provided (somewhat extraneous) background information on contacts, I felt like she was trying to sell me on a different pair of contact lenses the whole time.
Again, while the doctor and staff were friendly, I didn't feel my eye doctor appointment was very professional; the store and its staff however, were very helpful in ordering contacts and glasses and were definitely affordable overall.
I'm more likely to recommend the place as a store, than for an eye appointment.

After 6 years of living in New York City, I have never encountered such a wonderful optometrist and office. I had a severe eye infection and had recently lost my glasses. I normally go to a doctor on the UWS who is very dry and sometimes speaks in a condescending or scolding tone. The experience is always a very get in/get out/move onto the next patient/I'm too busy and rich to care sort of thing.
Dr. Lee's office is nothing like that. She helped me right away. My eyes immediately felt better after taking what she prescribed. I also found a pair of adorable Burberry glasses that looked amazing and I paid a FRACTION of the cost I have paid over the years at places like Cohen's (whose staff can be very rude and charge ridiculous amounts). My prescription is VERY high and even with additional features like high-index lens thinner, it was still affordable at Dr. Lee's office!
Overall, Dr. Lee is very kind and didn't waste time scolding me on mistakes I had made in my eye-care. She simply gave me solid advice and found a solution to my problem. She even gave me coupons to use for the eye drops I needed. Her assistants are young, but very sweet and professional. I would recommend her office over any other any day! Even if you don't live in the area, it's worth the travel. Thanks ZocDoc! Note: the office is conveniently located next to CVS if you need to pick up a prescription or eye drops.
