A born-and-raised Los Angeles native, Dr. Suzie Martikyan specializes in non-surgical and surgical management of foot and ankle pathology.
Dr. Martikyan worked as a scribe for a local podiatrist as a teen. It was then she decided to pursue a career in the specialty. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), obtaining a degree in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology. She went on to complete her medical education at Western University of Health Sciences, receiving her doctorate in podiatric medicine (DPM).
She then completed a three-year Podiatric Medicine and Surgery residency with the added credential of Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery in Seattle, WA. Due to the nature of her residency, she was exposed to a wide variety of patient populations and believes in a personalized approach for treatment of all foot and ankle conditions. She prides herself on taking into consideration an individual patient’s lifestyle and needs. She believes in practicing evidence-based medicine, as evidenced by her involvement in multiple research projects.
Dr. Martikyan enjoys serving the communities that have served her family and herself. She has hospital privileges at Torrance Memorial Medical Center, Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center – Torrance, and Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center – San Pedro.
During her free time, when she is not outdoors enjoying the Southern California sunshine, she enjoys cooking and baking for her friends and family.
