Dr. Talya Kupin is a board certified ophthalmologist with sub specialty fellowship training in glaucoma. Dr. Kupin is nationally and internationally recognized as a leading expert in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma. In addition to her expertise in glaucoma care, she also offers comprehensive ophthalmology and therapy for dry eyes, as well as corneal and retinal diseases.
Born in Israel, Dr. Kupin moved to the United States as a young child and graduated with honors from the University of Michigan, where she received her Bachelor of Science and Medical degrees. Dr. Kupin served an internship at Henry Ford Health Sciences Center in Detroit, Michigan and completed her Ophthalmology residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/ Montefiore Hospitals in New York. She continued her education with a Glaucoma Fellowship at the renowned Kresge Eye Institute of Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
After several years of private practice in Florida, Dr. Kupin founded Glaucoma Specialists of South Florida where she provides the highest quality state of the art sub specialty glaucoma care, and also maintains a comprehensive general ophthalmology practice. Dr. Kupin is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Tayla Kupin is married to Dr. Warren Kupin, a transplant nephrologist at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. They have two sons, Aaron and David, and reside in Boca Raton, Florida. Dr. Kupin is fluent in four languages including English, Hebrew, Romanian, and Spanish.
