Tammy has been a Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner since 1998. For 15 years, she worked in Endocrinology developing her expertise in diabetes care, thyroid disease and management and hormone replacement therapy. From the first elevated blood sugar to intensive insulin pump therapy, Tammy partners with her patients to achieve the best control they can. Well versed in multiple thyroid preparations, including Armour Thryoid and T3 products, she works closely with the patients to find safe and optimal levels to help patients feel their best. She believes health care is a partnership between the provider and the patient facilitated by information, education and empowerment.
She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas and her Masters of Science in Nursing for Adult Primary Care from the University of Colorado Health Science Center. Tammy has worked in health care since 1986 in the areas of critical care, geriatrics and general medicine.
Tammy, a native Texan, is married and has raised her two sons here in Colorado. She enjoys traveling, reading about traveling, and talking about her travels. She loves to paint and read and has been known to enjoy a nice glass of wine on occasion.
