It was great and informational. She had wonderful bedside manner and explained everything she was doing as she went along. She was very pleasant! I was concerned about a spot but she put me at ease and would contact me immediately upon receiving results.
I highly recommend this office the patient accts girl up front was very kind and helpful!!!

She received her Bachelor’s with honors in biology and mathematics from Rosemont College, PA. She also received her Master’s in Biological Sciences from Drexel University. She obtained her medical degree, graduating in the top quartile of her class, at New York Institute of Technology – College of Osteopathic Medicine. After her internship, she completed a clinical research fellowship at a top New York institution, with an emphasis on acne and cosmetic medicine.
She has authored numerous publications in dermatology journals, with a focus in “skin of culture,” as she likes to call it. Dr. Simela is a member of The American Academy of Dermatology, American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, American Osteopathic Association, The Dermatological Society of NJ, Skin of Color Society, and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.

I’m really glad I chose her !She was so nice and very attentive. I have not been to a dermatologist in so long for my acne and she made the experience so easy. She will ask you if you want to use the pharmacy that they use, my advice , take it! One of my medication was a pretty penny that my insurance didn’t cover, annoying, but the pharmacy applied a coupon and dropped it down by a lot!The medication she prescribed me is actually working and I am slowly getting my confidence back. Love her and I will definitely recommend! Her staff was also really awesome too , her assistant was kind and funny and didn’t make it awkward.

She was absolutely amazing!!! Loved her! She educated me and helped me understand things about my skin that I did not know previously despite this being my fourth or fifth dermatologist! Kind, respectful, insightful and ultimately a complete pleasure to speak with!

Impersonal. I would prefer a physician that looks at me more than an ipad and I didn't appreciate the amount of times a solution to my problems were literally shrugged off. I will find another dr.

It went as expected minus the extraordinary wait time. My appt was scheduled for 12:45. I didn't get in to see the Dr. til almost two. :-(
I'm told it was because earlier patients needed more care than was allocated for. I'm not angry about that because if it were me I'd want undivided attention also.

First time at that office so registration paperwork is really what made it a bit longer. Once paper work was done I went in right away and she saw me shortly thereafter. Dr Simela does an excellent check of the skin because she uses her special derm light over the whole body, even hair. She is the BEST Dermatologist I have ever met. Sincerely
