My first time seeing her and she was super sweet and addressed multiple concerns that I had. There was at least a 30 min wait time which I thought was not ok since my appointment was during my lunch period. The front desk staff was alright.

Dr. Ahamed completed her residency training at NYU-Winthrop Hospital in Mineola, NY where she worked as Chief Administrative Resident in her final year. She received her medical degree at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn and graduated Barnard College with a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry.
At this time she is an attending physician in the Department of Ob/Gyn at North Shore University Hospital and is Clinical Assistant Professor at Hofstra North Shore/LIJ Medical School.
Her special interests include minimally invasive surgery including laparoscopic and robotic surgery and hysteroscopy. She also manages high risk obstetrical patients including gestational and pregestational diabetes, hypertensive diseases of pregnancy, previa, preterm labor, twin pregnancy, previous c-sections and VBACs. In gynecology Dr. Ahamed manages adolescents, contraception and abnormal bleeding including fibroids and polyps. She also manages menopause and peri/post menopausal complications including prolapse and sexual dysfunction.
Dr Ahamed was born and raised in Queens, NY. She can communicate fluently in both Bengali and Spanish. She joined the Northern OBGYN family in July of 2017.

I was searching for a GYN for a long time. After reading Dr.Ahamed’s reviews here on Zocdoc, I decided to book an appointment. I must say I was not disappointed in any way. She doesn’t rush & is very thorough, taking her time to explain everything. She addressed all of my concerns & made me feel very comfortable. I’m soo happy I found this doctor.

Omg! Where do I start? I searched long and hard for a new ob/gyn and I must say Dr. Ahamed made me feel very comfortable and the appointment went really well. Staff there are also pleasant. Short wait time. I would recommend this doctor and the office to everyone.
