About Taylor
Taylor is a certified speech-language pathologist through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is licensed to practice in the state of Virginia. She is located in the Bedford, VA area, and she enjoys being able to provide service in the area she was raised. Taylor obtained her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at Longwood University. She has a broad skillset with experience treating infants to adults. She has a passion for supporting patients in their ability to achieve their communication goals. Taylor’s clinical interests are augmentative alternative communication devices (AAC), infant/child feeding, tongue/lip ties, and early language development. She is a certified pediatric feeding therapist and has completed many trainings on infant feeding. She has experience treating children with a variety of diagnoses such as Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, 22Q, Spina Bifida, and others. She also treats speech sound disorders and fluency. While Taylor primarily focuses on pediatrics, she also has experience treating adults with strokes, brain injuries, and memory loss. She enjoys working with a variety of fluent and nonfluent aphasia, dysphasia, and apraxia. Taylor is VitalStim certified, enabling her to support patients in regaining swallow function for both oral and pharyngeal dysphagia.
Every session should feel safe and encouraging. My approach is patient-led, and I tailor each session to meet the individual needs of every patient. I encourage open and inclusive discussions about the plan of care and progress toward goals, ensuring that patients and families feel heard.
