Dr. Tia Schellato graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor degree in Biology. She attended the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where she obtained her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. She completed her general surgery residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center and her Urologic Surgery residency at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Albert Einstein Medical Center, and Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Schellato's urologic interests include comprehensive female health, female urology, sexual health, voiding dysfunction and urodynamics. Disorders treated include pelvic organ prolapse ("dropped" bladder, uterus, vagina, rectum) urinary incontinence ("leakage"), overactive bladder, urinary tract infections, interstitial cystitis, vulvodynia (vulvar and vaginal pain), dyspareunia (pain with intercourse), and sexual dysfunction (difficulty with orgasm, arousal, desire).
She is trained in both laparoscopy and robotic surgery. During her postgraduate studies, Dr. Schellato earned numerous academic awards and honors.
She lives in Maple Shade NJ with her husband and two children.
