I was happy with my visit overall. The staff was very friendly and professional. The Dr. was prompt, not in a hurry, and I felt like he listened and understood my problem. My concerns were addressed and they made sure I understood next steps. I feel I am on the road to being pain free again.

While Dr. Terry Gemas was doing his sports medicine fellowship training at the University of Miami, he treated varsity athletic teams and served as a fellow orthopedic surgeon to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers professional football team. He has a special interest in sports related injuries as well as cutting-edge arthroscopic and other minimally invasive procedures, total joint replacement, and general fracture care.
In college, Dr. Gemas was a member of the varsity football team, the Clemson Tigers, and understands first-hand the demands on the athlete and the importance of surgical technique and proper rehab. His sports background helps him care for all levels and ages of athletes, as well as the weekend warrior. As an active member in the community, Dr. Gemas is involved in many sports programs within the city's schools and performs hundreds of physicals each year.
Dr. Gemas recently earned a subspecialty certification in orthopedic sports medicine, which makes him one of 900 physicians in the world with this extensive training. In order to provide patients with the best possible care, he is a member of several sports medicine societies and associations and keeps up to date with arthroscopic surgical techniques.

His bedside matter is horrible. When my husband explained his situation, he would side track and ask a different question. Would not recommend to no one!!! Maria, the front desk receptionist, is the most kind and understandable person you'll ever meet. Hope Dr. Terry doesn't ruin her with his bitterness!!

The lady in the office was so kind. My registration had none gone thru so as i filled out PAPER work she went over questions with me so i could sign all those pages.
Dr Gemas was so personable.And friendly. He listened and answered all questions clearly. He made arrangements for MRI & explained why, what it was and possible findings. He made appt for day after test. Have already told people about him

Very Friendly & professional My wait time was longer because there alot of clients ahead of me.
The Receptionist made my next appt at a different time that would let me see Dr Gemas in a shorter waiting period. Maria was caring & observant. A rare quality in professionals these days. Best Doctor visit in 21 yrs. Dr Gemas listened to my issue and responded approprately and very gentle with my hurting knee. Its ovious how he's got so many clients.
Personally, I'm not a fan of seeing any kind of Doctor, but Dr, Terry Gemas was quite the exception to the rule. A 10+ in all areas, receptionist, and nurses included too. Great team!

I love Dr. Gemas!! He is so nice and takes his time! He did my shoulder surgery back in 2011 and I would never trust anyone else!! Current staff is phenomenal!!

he is a good dr. he didnt seem all that concerned with my pain, it was quite severe. I felt a little brushed off. same dr told me i might need knee replacement surgery, but didnt seem to remember. But he is really good.
