Tom Calhoun holds a PhD and is a licensed psychologist practicing for over 30 years.
His experience includes treating adolescents, adults, couples and families. Tom has advanced training in many modalities of treatment including hypnosis, EMDR, CBT, mindfulness meditation, energy psychology techniques, couples counseling, spiritual direction and family therapy. He also supervises other therapists and graduate students in these treatment modalities.
Tom’s motivation for becoming a mental health practitioner was prompted in graduate school as the course work was very exciting and thought provoking. He knew that he wanted to understand what caused certain behaviors and choices that would determine the course of people’s lives. His desire to help others has grown over the years, as he has remained devoted to developing his skills to serve others to the best of his ability. He practices mindfulness and meditation daily as well as reading and workshops to further develop his skills.
