Dr. Thomas J. Locke, III, born in Vidalia, Georgia, and raised in Southwest Atlanta, completed his undergraduate studies at Princeton University. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Howard University, where he also completed his internship, followed by residency training at George Washington University. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Aesthetics. While board certification is not a guarantee of competency, Dr. Locke has achieved proficiency in three specialties, demonstrating extensive training and passing rigorous exams. Frustrated with traditional insurance billing, Dr. Locke has spent the past decade focusing on innovative services not covered by insurance, where his sole loyalty is to the patient. This led him to become certified in Aesthetics. His ongoing study in anti-aging medicine and cosmetic surgery keeps him current. He is a member of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, the American Society of Cosmetic Physicians, and the American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Locke’s practice philosophy centers on personal image enhancement. He has completed hundreds of hours of training from innovators in the field and has professional experience in all aspects of body contouring. As an instructor for surgical equipment vendors, he teaches doctors nationwide liposuction, fat transfer, and body contouring techniques. Over the past five years, he has performed more than 850 cosmetic surgical procedures. His practice is now principally limited to cosmetic surgery and personal image-enhancing services. The surgical practice is 100% devoted to minimally invasive procedures under local or tumescent anesthesia. Unlike many practices where patients rarely see their surgeon before surgery, Dr. Locke believes the surgeon must be involved from the first appointment through all follow-up care..
