Dr. Pinkston is a native of Florida and attended the University of Florida for his undergraduate education. He received his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he completed clinical rotations in medical based eye care at the Tuscaloosa Veterans Hospital and additional rotations in private practice.
After graduation, Dr. Pinkston completed his residency in ocular disease and refractive surgery at Woolfson Eye Institute in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Pinkston specializes in ocular disease management, LASIK surgery co-management, and cataract surgery co-management. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Georgia Optometric Association, and the Greater Atlanta Optometric Association.
Dr. Pinkston is a very active runner and enjoys participating in many local races with his wife each year. In his spare time, he enjoys attending Braves games and college sporting events.
