Tien Cheng is a brilliant and engaging internist and cardiologist based in Gurnee, IL. Originally from Taiwan, Dr. Cheng received his medical degree from the Kaohsiung Medical University in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. He completed his internship and residency programs at the Taipei Veterans General Hospital in Taiwan and the Cook County Hospital in Illinois. He also accomplished a fellowship in cardiology at the University of Illinois, Chicago.
Dr. Cheng is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, with a specialization in cardiovascular disease. He is also a member of a number of medical societies, including the Lake County Medical Society, the American Heart Association, the American Society of Echocardiography, and the American College of Physicians. Due to his extensive knowledge of cardiovascular dysfunctions, Dr. Cheng has published prolifically, given many lectures and presentations, and conducted extensive research on issues within that medical genre.
