Dr. Kim and Chris are two of the friendliest and smartest business owners! It is difficult these days to find any doctor or business who is customer focused and they do just that! From the ease of scheduling an appointment (through zocdoc) to never waiting more than a few minutes to be seen, my experience at Ultimo is always a great one. They have a nice selection of eye wear and Chris will work with you to make sure you find a pair that works for you both aesthetically and financially. I can't say enough positively about them- they are awesome!

Dr. Timothy Kim received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Drexel University and later decided that he wanted to pursue a career in the healthcare field where he can help people. He decided to pursue a career in eye care because your eyes and vision is so important, but also so neglected by many people.
Dr. Kim enjoys caring for patients of all ages and provides full comprehensive eye care for a variety of ocular conditions. He is certified in the use of diagnostic pharmaceutical agents (DPA) and therapeutic pharmaceutical agents (TPA) and has extensive experience in the management of glaucoma and many other ocular diseases. He also enjoys fitting contact lenses, whether it be soft contact lens fits, lenses for ocular disease such as keratoconus, or multi-focal contact lenses for patients who are tired of having to carry around reading glasses. He has extensive experience in orthokeratology (corneal reshaping therapy) in which the cornea or the front part of the eye is reshaped by the use of hard lenses during sleep to eliminate the need for glasses. It is like fully reversible LASIK for children or patients of all ages, and studies have shown that it may minimize the progression of near-sightedness in children.
During his schooling, Dr. Kim went to Haiti with the Student Optometric Service to Humanity (SOSH) group to provide free eye care to the underprivileged. Currently, he is involved with the Volunteer Optometric Service to Humanity (VOSH) group that provides free eye care to the underprivileged in Haiti, where the leading cause of blindness is the lack of glasses and cataracts.
