TRACY L. HACKETT, MTCM, L.AC., DAOM (2015), NCCAOM DIPL.OM., is a licensed Acupuncturist and clinical herbalist in Washington DC and Florida, and a doctoral candidate of clinical acupuncture and oriental medicine. She received her Master's degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, California. She earned a Bachelor's degree (High Hons.) in Interdisciplinary Studies at University of Florida.
Tracy has studied healing arts throughout Asia. During her travels and study of Tibetan Buddhism, she provided community service acupuncture to the lamas, monks, nuns, and local villagers near her teacher's monasteries in Ladakh, India, and Nepal. Tracy has practiced Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) since 2005. She has been practicing yoga and meditation since childhood and began teaching individuals in 1997.
Dr. Hackett has interned in a variety of settings including: California Pacific Medical Center, UCSF and Sutter Health, CA, NIH Clinical Center for Pain and Palliative Care, Bethesda, Women's Cancer Resource Center Oakland, CA, and Quan Yin Healing Arts, SF, under the auspices of Beverly Burns. In China: Zhejiang Chinese Medical University Hospital and Red Cross Hospital, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China (2005, 2013).

Perfect in every way

I didn't really know what to expect as this was my first visit with an acupuncturist, so I was a little nervous. After completing the questionairre (which felt like 20 pages long) I spoke with Tracy and we went over my issues in depth. She really took the time to try and learn more about all the areas tht bothered me to see of they were at all related. When I laid on the bed/massage table (which had THEE most comfortable sheets ever) she began inserting the needles. With the exception of a few pinches, I didn't feel a thing. Overall a very relaxing experience.
