Before pursuing a career in medicine I lived in the Marshall Islands for two years, got married, worked as a snowboard instructor, construction worker, salesman, milkman, and phlebotomist. You could say that I received a bachelor degree in “life” before I received my actual bachelor’s degree from Dixie State University. I then attended medical school at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine. I chose internal medicine because I enjoy the diagnostic process which allows me to work as a detective and solve puzzles. The best part is that I can do this all while forming lasting relationships with my patients.
Being from a rural area in Utah it has been easy to love Colorado and its beautiful outdoors. I love woodworking, fly fishing, smoking meat on my Traeger, sports and eating great food with my wife and two kids.
