Dr. Gurvinder Mangat is a board-certified physician in Family Medicine. He was born in Punjab, India in 1984 and immigrated to Calgary, Canada in 1995. He attended Xavier University School of Medicine graduating with honors in Dec 2009 and completed his family medicine residency at University of Alabama Huntsville where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Mangat received awards for Chief Resident, Best senior resident and outstanding resident in Pediatrics. After residency, he worked as a hospitalist and a part time clinical preceptor for Baptist family medicine residency program in Montgomery, Alabama where he received an Excellence in teaching award. Dr. Mangat and his family moved to Colorado in 2018. He loves spending time with his two beautiful girls, his wife Shannon and daughter Priya. He is a Colorado Avalanche and Calgary Flames fan. He enjoys playing hockey and basketball.

I finally found my new Primary Care Physician, everything was great from check-in to check-up to addressing issues and understanding medical history and where I need my health to be and how Dr. Mangat and his staff is going to get me there. Usually one is never this happy after a Dr. Visit but relief and comfort are words I will use.

I hate doctors and we do not have a primary one. My past experience with primary doctors is that you are just a number and they do not care about you at all. I would say the opposite about my experience here. All of the assistants before the dr arrived were friendly, positive and I felt heard. The Dr Mangat really heard what I was telling him and he prescribed us meds to help us feel better. Highly recommend.

I wish all my doctor visits had been this positive.
Dr. Manat and his staff gave me lots of their time to fully understand my issues.
They also were proactive in suggesting and administering other tests to have a bettered picture of my overall health.
I’m glad to have found them and feel good about them being my primary care provider. I’m confident they help me live healthier life.

2 stars for the doctor, minus 3 stars for the profound inexperience of the staff. Dr ordered blood work, which required fasting, so could not get done same day. Came back at 8 am the next day and they are utilizing their med tech as a phlebotomist and it became very clear that he did not know how to draw blood properly, maybe even his first week on the job. After a missed stick, I tried to go to Labcorp in the same building (per the med tech), which ended up being already 8 people deep in line at 8:20 am. As much as I liked the doctor himself, I will be finding a different PCP office. I have found ZocDoc to be totally hit or miss, but usually miss because it's offices that wouldn't otherwise get patients doing advertising. Don't be fooled by the easy availability - chances are there's a reason why.
