Dr. Traecy Adamo is an outstanding doctor. I would highly recommend her and her staff at Advanced Eye Care in Hinsdale. Dr Adamo is very knowledgeable and explains to you the issues and the plan in an easy to understand manner. Her staff are very friendly, helpful with insurance coverage and accommodating in scheduling appointments. I did not have to wait at all. Dr. Adamo was right on time. I did not feel rushed and felt Dr. Adamo really cared about me. Dr. Adamo even followed up to see how my eye was healing. Dr Adamo is top notch and I am now scheduling appointments for my whole family at Advanced Eye care.

Dr. Treacy Adamo is a board certified medical optometrist who completed residency training in ocular disease and blind rehabilitation. Hinsdale Advanced Eye Care, a full service family eye care practice, serves Hinsdale and the Western Suburbs. Dr. Adamo attended the Illinois College of Optometry as a Board of Trustees Scholar and graduated cum laude. She holds a Master's degree in Human Anatomy from Northern Illinois University.
Dr. Adamo provides specialty services such as vision therapy, blind rehabilitation, concussion rehabilitation, medically necessary contact lenses and dry eye therapy. Hinsdale Advanced Eye Care provides services for the entire family and has a high end optical with over 700 frames. The practice participates in surgical co-management for laser vision correction and cataracts. Hinsdale Eye is truly a one-stop shop.
Dr. Adamo is very active in the optometry community and is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society, the Tomb and Key Honor Society, American Optometric Association and the American Academy of Optometry. She is the past President of the Illinois State Chapter of American Academy of Optometry as well as on the board at a National level. Dr. Adamo also volunteers for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry.
Dr. Adamo is a mom of four children who attend Madison School in Hinsdale. She enjoys spending time with her husband and children. Dr. Adamo volunteers on the PTO and is a member of Hinsdale Junior Women's Club.

I went in there for eye irritation, seems to be an allergy. The doctor prescribed an expensive eye drops of specific brand and asked to apply for two weeks. It did not treat the infection. I went back again, she prescribed more expensive eye drops of the same brand. That didn't help either. I ended up visiting another eye doctor who prescribed an inexpensive generic brand eye drops that treated the infection. I got a bill from her later for a very high amount. I had to pay for what was an useless treatment. I will definitely not go back to her. The guy at front desk was unfriendly.

I could not be any happier with Dr. Adamo. She is professional, kind and caring. My visits with her have improved my eyesight and therefore my life immensely. I am now able, with her contact correction after my second cornea transplant, to resume my hobbies of reading, sewing and knitting.
