Tricia Shugart, MSN, FNP-C, is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner who hails originally from Canada, having started her career in Calgary, Alberta as a Registered Nurse in the ER. For the last 10 years, Tricia has been in Texas where she obtained her Masters in Nursing through the University of Texas at Arlington and graduated in May 2021. Tricia’s desire to become a Family Nurse Practitioner stemmed from her experience in the ER, repeatedly seeing patients would benefit from primary and preventative care. She wanted to care for them before they ended up in the ER.
Tricia’s widespread experience in Canada and the U.S. encouraged her to focus on health promotion and disease prevention rather than just the treatment of symptoms. It was through researching functional medicine that she could help patients the most and meet them where they are at. She believes that the hormone therapy and functional medicine provided at OnePeak Medical produce a significant improvement in the quality of life for individual patients and the communities they serve.
Tricia recently relocated to Klamath Falls with her husband, two daughters, and two dogs. Her husband loves to BBQ and she loves to bake and sew. They also enjoy finding adventures together and look forward to experiencing the four seasons in the Basin.
