Tyndal Michele Jones was born at Fort Bliss, Texas in El Paso. She was raised in this military town on the border of Mexico which afforded her the opportunity to meet many people of diverse backgrounds and upbringing, and experience the Latin culture. It was here that she learned to speak and write basic Spanish.
While in high school, Tyndal discovered a keen interest in human anatomy and physiology in her health education class. She later met the wife of a cousin who was an obstetrician/gynecologist who became a role model and had a profound influence in Tyndal's decision to pursue a career in the health field. Upon graduating from high school, Tyndal pursued a career in nursing, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Texas at El Paso in 1987. Having been brought up in a military family, Tyndal felt a career as a nurse in the Army Nurse Corps would afford her the greatest opportunity to achieve her personal and professional goals while providing a chance to travel and experience the world. Briefly before going on active duty, Tyndal worked as a nurse at R.E. Thomason General Hospital in El Paso, Texas in Labor & Delivery. It was there that she discovered a passion in women's healthcare, which she took with her into the military.
During her first year on active duty, Tyndal enrolled in an intense, five-month OB/GYN Nurse Specialty Course at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. She graduated number one in the course and received honors of recognition for her accomplishment. It was here that Tyndal decided to pursue a career in medicine in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. She once again graduated number one in her class in 1996 and received numerous awards in recognition of this most honored accomplishment. She then applied to and was accepted at the infamous Emory University School of Medicine Department of OB/GYN for residency training.
After completing her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2000, Tyndal went into private practice, working initially for Georgia Center for Female Health as a physician employee. In 2002, Tyndal received her Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the American Board of OB/GYN. Tyndal acted upon her passion for the business aspect of medicine, and in 2003, she began her own private practice, Signature Women's Healthcare, where she works today. She is driven to provide exemplary medical care to the female patient with a sense of care and compassion delivered in a personal manner. She has a special interest in fibroid uterus, and in the management of menstrual disorders. She manages both normal and high-risk obstetrics, and performs in-office surgical procedures such as Essure tubal occlusion, hysteroscopy with and without endometrial ablations, and others, as well as hospital-based procedures. She also evaluates and treats infertility, abnormal pap smears, and a host of other conditions affecting the female patient.

I was initially put off about seeing this group because I had experienced a reschedule on my first appointment, my second appointment had to be changed on my account, and my third scheduled appointment ran over an hour later. I am admittedly an impatient person, though, so I'm not rating this office in terms of their running late, but how well they turned my impatience around with such pleasant attitudes and response. Plus, it was later in the afternoon and the office was quiet and peaceful. Dr. Jones gave me plenty of time (I'm a talker), and was very comfortable to talk to. She explained my options very clearly. The staff was so polite and helpful. While I hope I don't end up waiting an hour next time, I'm quite pleased enough to say I'm looking forward to my next visit.

The entire office was wonderful. The assistant at the front desk, Tiffany, was so pleasant and polite. Denise, medical assistant, was very laid back and made me comfortable and Dr. Jones was great. I didn't feel rushed, I was seen within 10 minutes tops of arriving to the office and my visit didn't take necessarily long.

Aside from Dr. Jones seeming to be a very sweet and caring individual, My experience at this office was absolutely horrible. I read the reviews on Zoc Doc before I went to this office and I ignored them because the office was not far from my home and I felt like maybe the reviews had been exaggerated. My very first appointment was scheduled on a day when the office was closed. I was informed a day before and rescheduled to a later date. I preferred to see Dr. Jones but instead I was rescheduled with out being told that I would see a completely different doctor. I was not happy about that. I had chosen Dr. Jones for specific reasons in her bio. I called and informed them that I wanted to see Dr. Jones. The front desk personnel is what made this experience one I would like to forget. I was informed that I would need to wait two weeks before I could see Dr. Jones because she would be at a different location. I accepted the offer and waited the two weeks. My appointments had been changed a few times without notice. I was told if I missed an appointment then I would have to pay a fee. I missed appointments due to them being changed without notice. No one has taken anytime out to make the patient waiting area comfortable for their guest. There are only several black chairs in the waiting area. No television, very few reading materials (about 3 or four magazines), nothing to entertain your children while you wait. The appointment do not begin on time, and the front desk personnel is extremely unprofessional. They look as if they do not want to be there. They are not approachable. However the phlebotomists are very professional and approachable. I live in Lithonia in the Stonecrest area and I have switched my Ob/gyn to Alpharetta.
