She then earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida. Dr. Lassalle continued her medical education by completing an internal medicine residency at Largo Medical Center in Largo, Florida, where she served as chief resident. She then followed with training in a cardiovascular disease fellowship at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. She also served as a national representative on the board of directors for the American College of Osteopathic Internists representing osteopathic physicians in internal medicine.
