Valentina Okechi has lived in San Antonio most of her adult life. After raising a family of four, she decided to go back to school to become a registered nurse. She went on to obtain her Master’s of Nursing and it was then she began to observe patients struggling more and more with mental issues. She became committed to improving mental health care and became passionate about diminishing the stigma of Mental Health. She continued her education and is now a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
As her patient, you can expect Ms. Okechis’ undivided attention to a down-to-earth approach to Healthcare with a professional and caring attitude. She collaborates with Psychiatrists and other Health Providers to provide every client with evidence-based, humanistic mental health care services to ensure well-coordinated optimal health benefits for her patients. Ms. Okechi treats a range of disorders including depressive, bipolar, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma-and-stressor-related disorder, and schizophrenia spectrum and psychotic disorders.
She is energetic and makes herself available to her patients. She can provide Mental Health Care in person and via Telehealth.In her spare time Ms. Valentina loves to exercise, cook, read and travel.
