Valerie was very friendly and thorough and presented herself as a very professional and competent practitioner, but the front-office staff seemed unprofessional and overall the office seemed disorganized. The theme of the morning was returning calls to customers who had called to inquire about their eyeglasses - all of which were apparently delayed.

After the eye exam, I got a stye on my left eye.
I waited for over 2 weeks for the trial lens. They kept telling me the trial lens were coming in the following couple days and so on. Finally they arrived. After I got my trial lens, I ordered 8 boxes of contact lens through them. I still haven't gotten the contact lens from them after two months. Every time I called them, they told me the lens would come in on Thur or Fri and would call me back. Sometimes they couldn't find my record. I just don't know whether they had really ordered the lens for me. I have heard from my friends that they could not get their glasses until 6 months later. I almost ran out of contact lens when I went to see her. They gave me some random trial lens once and it wasn't the right prescription for me. I have astigmatism. The wrong prescription gave me headache.

Dr. Acker and her staff is very professional. They greet every single customer that enters the office immediately. Dr. Acker explains herself completely and her recommendation. I would refer anyone to the office. My daughter was seen at the GA Tech location but she has another location in east point. Please go to Dr. Acker for your needs. staff was awesome.

I really enjoy going to see Dr. Val. Its not stale like other eye doctors. At those offices I feel like just another patient. At Dr. Val's office its like you are going to visit a friend who is checking your eyes.

Didn't realize when I booked this that it was a Georgia Tech student facility. Really small, slow, parking expensive, and just not up to par with the rest of my health care. Nowhere near the quality of Tech Dentistry.
I would say it's partly my fault for not selecting the right office. Valerie seems to be a great optometrist however, so I don't mean anything badly to her.
