Dr. Van Dao Hochman was born and raised in Plano, Texas. She received her undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Dallas with a B.A. in Biology. Dr. Dao Hochman comes from a family with a strong background in Podiatry and went on to receive her Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida. She completed a prestigious three-year surgical residency at Beaumont Hospital - Farmington Hills (formerly Botsford Hospital) in Farmington Hills, Michigan. During residency, she gained extensive training in diabetic wound care, elective foot and ankle procedures, various pediatric foot ailments, and a strong base of clinical patient care. During residency, Dr. Dao Hochman was actively involved in Operation Footprint, a mission trip in Tegucigalpa, Honduras where she spent a week evaluating and treating congenital deformities in young children. During residency, Dr. Dao Hochman spent time with a renowned pediatric orthopedic surgeon in Washington, D.C. to further her knowledge in pediatric patients. Dr. Dao Hochman is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Dao Hochman is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American Podiatric Medical Association, and the Texas Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr. Dao Hochman has completed research in areas of recurrent tarsal tunnel syndrome, wound management in open fractures, and athletes with acute Achilles tendon ruptures.

This was the best experience I’ve had with a doctor! No lie haha. I have a close second and third from California but Dr. Van Dao was amazing!!! She’s friendly, super clear, caring, and knew exactly what to do/suggest/everything. I am so happy I found exactly what I needed. My visit was a top tier visit. Even before I had my procedure done I felt immediate relief. I was greeted by the sweetest receptionist & got my paperwork processed very quickly & immediately was taken back to my room. Not even 3 minutes after I had sat down Dr. Van Dao came in and introduced herself, asked me questions about my ingrown toenail and then walked me through the 2 procedures I could choose from. She was very honest and open about how these procedures worked and what to expect. She was very sweet and kind which made my experience on getting my nasty ingrown toenail removed a whole lot smoother. In less than an hour I was wrapped up and on my way home. I will see her in two weeks for a follow up appointment which was included in today’s bill (a very affordable price compared to other places) and I’m so excited. I’m beyond grateful for her and am happy to be on the road to recovery! I highly recommend you come here. Your feet will be so appreciative.

Dr. Van Dao DPM is absolutely amazing! I have been dealing with a particular issue for over four years without any relief. I recently found out that podiatrists can take care of the issue. So I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Van Dao DPM. I was so blessed that she was able to see me right away. She took my concern very seriously and is making sure I am getting the treatment that I need.

Dr. Van Dao was so nice and knowledgeable! I went in after I twisted my ankle and she knew a treatment plan right away! Even explained the tendons to me! I would highly recommend her.
