Dr. Victor Rudy treats patients between ages 21 and 60. He does not accept Medicaid. Dr Victor Rudy graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand Medical School in Johannesburg South Africa. He completed his postdoctoral training at Tel Hashomer Government Hospital in Tel Aviv, Israel where he completed a rotating internship in internal medicine surgery and pediatrics. Dr. Rudy completed his residency in psychiatry at Hillside Hospital, a division of Long Island Jewish Medical Center.

He took the time to listen, and wrote everything out in long hand. He will always push meds regardless of the condition. It’s just what he does and he’s very open and honest about it. He is not a psychoanalyst, and does not treat patients that way.

I went in for therapy following a traumatic event. I felt Dr. Rudy didn’t even listen to me and immediately wanted to prescribe meds - signs with the medication name were all over his office, which just made me feel he was sponsored or something. Not happy at all.

Not a particularly friendly guy, and he has a somewhat disconcerting habit of closing his eyes when talking. But he's a careful note taker and isn't quick to push a medical intervention, which I appreciate.

Dr. Rudy was kind, patient, considerate and extremely thorough.
He took his time to put me at ease and gently ask key questions to gain an insight into my life. He treated me like an individual and gained my confidence quickly. Finally a doctor who listens to understand rather than just respond and medicate.
