I was born and raised in Michigan and attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor (Go Blue!). I graduated in 1993 with a degree in cellular and molecular biology. I then attended Wayne State University Medical School in Michigan graduating in 1997 with high distinction and membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
While in medical school, I enjoyed meeting patients and helping them through medical illnesses. The long term patient physician relationship, over years, is what interested me the most. This led me to choose a career in adult medicine and brought me to an Internal Medicine residency at Northwestern University in Chicago. It was here that I met my husband and began my career in a private practice affiliated with Northwestern. We moved to Denver shortly thereafter, where I practiced at the University of Colorado. A few years later, we settled back in Chicago and I began my new practice in Glenview.
I am a Board Certified Specialist in Internal Medicine with an interest in preventive medicine, diabetes management, and women’s health issues, and I am very excited to practice at Glen Medical. Our practice utilizes a state-of-the-art computerized medical record called Epic, which is integrated within the NorthShore University Health System, so I have rapid access to your health information, even from home, if needed.
