More about Dr. Vincent Perrotta, MD

Prior to establishing Peninsula Plastic Surgery in 1995, Dr. Perrotta served as an attending surgeon and Instructor of Plastic Surgery at Temple University. As a published expert with extensive training and experience in all areas of plastic surgery, he decided to leave the university setting with the goal of bringing metropolitan-quality plastic surgery to the Delmarva Peninsula. Dr. Perrotta is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) and the American Board of Surgery (ABS) and is an active member of both the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He serves as president of La-Merced and travels to Nicaragua on medical missions to provide reconstructive surgery for underprivileged children with congenital and acquired deformities of the face, trunk and extremities. He has attended missions in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2013. Dr. Perrotta was awarded the Outstanding Public Health Leader for Wicomico County in 2013. After earning an Honors Degree at Pennsylvania State University, Dr. Perrotta received his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. He completed his general surgical internship and residency at the University of Vermont, and his plastic surgery residency at Temple University. While at Temple, he was asked to join the faculty. It was at Temple University where Dr. Perrotta performed both laboratory and clinical research, which culminated in multiple national publications. Dr. Perrotta has a great appreciation for fine art, which is evident to anyone who visits their beautiful Salisbury office complex. Although Dr. Perrotta has extensive experience with all facets of plastic and reconstructive surgery, he enjoys sculpting the most. Whether he is refining the hump on a nose or forming the perfect curve on a woman’s hip, he takes great pride in creating the best possible result. He considers himself an artist, with the human body as his medium. His goal as a Plastic Surgeon has always been: “to provide peace of mind to individuals who believe they have aesthetic imperfections and those with diseases of the skin or minor functional impairments of the hands.” His overall vision is “to afford each patient the self-confidence to be as productive and giving as humanly possible.“ Dr. Perrotta has offices in downtown Salisbury, Maryland, Georgetown and Seaford, Delaware and serves the entire Delmarva Peninsula. He welcomes patients from the neighboring Baltimore/DC Metro area, as well as other states and abroad. Dr. Perrotta has privileges at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Nanticoke Memorial Hospital and at three surgery centers in Salisbury. Serving his neighbors of the Delmarva Peninsula is Dr. Perrotta’s primary calling. This has been well recognized, as Dr. Perrotta was awarded Coastal Style Magazine’s Best Plastic Surgeon for both Wicomico and Sussex Counties for 2013.
