As a family medicine physician, Dr. Nguyen enjoys having the opportunity to care for patients of all ages: children to seniors. He has a special interest in adolescent medicine; helping young people through what can sometimes be both a physically and psychologically challenging time in their lives. Dr. Nguyen earned his medical degree from the University of California, Irvine, where he was honored with the UCI/National Institutes of Health Research Fellowship Scholarship. While completing his medical residency training in Long Beach, Dr. Nguyen was also proud to be selected as the Chief Resident of Educational Affairs.
Dr. Nguyen is active in the community volunteering his time and medical expertise with several non-profit organizations. He is fluent in English and Vietnamese and speaks “medical” Spanish.

Dr. Nguyen is the best GP I've ever been to. He is always friendly, takes as much time as is needed to listen to an medical issues, concerns and questions and is knowledgeable and reassuring. Even though I've moved to south Orange County, I continue to see Dr. Nguyen as my primary GP, despite the time and traffic, because I don't think I could find a better or even equivalent doctor.

Vinh Nguyen, M.D. and Nanette Mitchell M.D. are two of the finest physicians on the planet. I am a medical case manager by training. When I decided to join a Medicare HMO the first consideration was how to keep my doctors. The rest was secondary. MemorialCare has better resources than anyone else for my money.
