Vita has seven years of experience working with children and adults as a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist in New York City. She specializes in helping clients manage prediabetes, type 1 diabetes, and type 2 diabetes, including use of continuous glucose monitoring and insulin pump technologies. She has expertise in weight management, binge eating disorder, and pediatric nutrition. Additionally, she is experienced in the management of bariatric surgery candidates and recipients.
Vita’s approach to nutrition and lifestyle change for health, wellness and disease management is realistic, gentle, and non-judgmental, resulting in attainable goals and sustainable results.
Vita received her Master of Public Health degree from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health which focuses on social and behavioral sciences and obesity prevention. She completed her dietetic internship at Montclair State University where she received the Joan D. Bernstein Clinical Excellence Award. Vita had attended the University of Delaware, where she received her Honors Bachelor of Science degree in dietetics.
