At this, my daughter's first visit for guidance re management of food-based anaphylaxis and for which we have consulted 2 other allergists whose guidance was OK but not fully satisfying, the provider/Dr Mak was even more responsive to our specific questions than the other 2 providers. He referenced the literature, but not in order to seem academic/learned, rather to convey diagnostic and management points. Given the fact that we have been and still are unable to identify the allergens, his guidance is appreciated. He 1) showed he understands the uncertainty; 2) conveyed that in any case there are ways to choose food that will lower the risks of a reaction. He is direct and warm.

Wonderful doc. He took the time to really explain things to me — what could possibly be causing my condition, what possible treatments were, what testing we could do. He also was clear when he couldn’t answer questions. Very patient doctor who really seems to care! And I waited only a few minutes. Highly highly recommend.

Doctor Mak is an amazing doctor who is very polite and down to earth person, who just doesn't treat the symptoms but also explains how and what causes the symptoms. He explains deep about how to combat the allergies in the future .He is a good listener who is there to treat and help his patients.

Dr. Mak was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about allergies I was experiencing. He asked me a lot of questions and was eager to engage in a conversation with me about the specifics of my symptoms, rather than just offer his opinion. He was realistic about allergy shots and offered me other options to manage my symptoms. He was friendly and kind, as was the courteous office staff, who were professional and welcoming. My visit to Dr. Mak was overall a great experience - I would recommend him to other patients seeking allergy treatment in the area.
