Dr. Waseem Hussain is a board-certified family physician. He is a member of the American Association of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association. He is proficient in a variety of joint injections and simple outpatient dermatologic procedures. Dr. Hussain currently accepts patients starting at age 16. He received his undergraduate degree from Carnegie Mellon University, his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed his residency through the Macneal Family Practice Residency Program in Chicago, Ill. In 2007, he received the honorary degree of fellow from the American Association of Family Physicians for his years of teaching and community service. Dr. Hussain’s expertise is in all areas of family medicine including intense management of neurologic, pulmonary and cardiac diseases as well as diabetes and gynecologic care. Dr. Hussain previously served as the Vice President of the medical staff at Fayette County Hospital in Illinois. Prior to joining MMS, Dr. Hussain practiced at Goldman and Jaffe, M.D., P.A. In 2010, he was the recipient of the American Medical Association's Physician Recognition Award. In 2012, he was listed as a Top Doctor in the Washington-Baltimore area.
