As a licensed podiatrist in Astoria, NY, I believe patients deserve the information needed to make informed choices about their foot and ankle care. I earned my Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and completed my residency in podiatry at Rockland Psychiatric Center. My goal is to educate each patient and begin a relevant treatment program with the highest quality of care available. Whatever your foot and ankle trouble, we will work together to find the answers that bring you comfort and relief.
We take pride in providing a comfortable office experience. Our qualified, friendly staff will ensure your visit is pleasant. Our main office is conveniently located in Astoria, NY.

Dr. Waxman is very professional and knowledgeable. His nurses and some of the receptionists are good as well. I wish all of his appointment admin staff were courteous. I had to cancel my last appointment due to a very rude conversation with one of them. Will probably return, but only via ZocDoc.

The visit went well however the doctor wants you to return a week later which some insurances won't pay for just to prescribe u medication. In my case if I was just there and you didn't prescribe medication you are just billing my insurance which is unfair to me because my insurance won't pay for a second visit which means I will be stuck with the bill. The ladies at the front desk are very rude and lack costumer service

The doctor seemed knowledgeable about podiatry and appeared to be a competent and a skilled professional. Maybe he could of looked more deeply at my foot issues and ordered more test to be done (other than an x-ray) to better explain the condition, but I can't say for sure why he chose not to. My bigger problem with him is that he seemed constantly distracted by other things and this is not a really busy place, so I didn't quite get it. Also, the office seemed incompetent at following through with procedures especially regarding prescriptions. My sense was that there is a lack of seriousness regarding health issues here, so I wouldn't go back.

The office staff lost my ZocDoc appointment, and Dr. Axman was too eager to start 4 treatments at once (rather than trying the least invasive first, which is what I would prefer). Not awful, but not great.

I've been going to Dr. Axman for years with some very difficult and stubborn foot problems, and I trust him implicitly. He has tremendous knowledge and experience, he really looks out for my well being -- and on top of it all, he's just a really great guy. I feel lucky that he's my doctor.

Dr. Axman is a terrific physician. He's smart, expert, experienced, and kind, and I always know the he has my best interests at heart. I trust him implicitly, and he has guided me through some very confusing and complicated health issues. I wouldn't go to anyone else.

Office staff called around 3 hrs. before my appointment to cancel; very short notice considering that patients are expected to notify dr.'s office at least 24 to cancel. Luckily, I was available to change to an earlier time and was still seen the same day.

Dr. Axman and his staff were great. The place is also very nice. I was able to book an appointment quickly and I got seen right away. I was very pleased with the way He conducted the examination. He had such good mood. Dr.Axman expalined everything as he went along. He did a procedure that brought instant relief to my feet problem. I would definitely recommend him. It was not a quick visit, which was great, and I will see him for a follow up. I would definitively recommend Dr. Axman.
