I always enjoy talking with Wendy. She is fun & light hearted & very knowledgeable about pregnancy. She makes me feel comfortable & offers additional support if needed. I was able to go over my birth plan more today & got a few tests done. She told me approx. how much my baby weighs which was great.

Wendy D. Allen, MSN, APN, CNM, provides woman-centered care for adults, teens and adolescents. She has interests in well-woman care and prenatal care. She also helps each woman understand her health condition and accomplish the health goals she establishes for herself.
Wendy dedicates time during prenatal visits to thoroughly explore questions and concerns, understanding that each pregnancy and individual is unique. She encourages each woman to ask any questions she has, whether it's her first pregnancy or she has been pregnant before.
During labor and birth, Wendy's goal is to assist each woman in achieving the experience she desires. For many women, this means offering hands-on comfort. For some, it means using all available technology. At times, it's a combination of both. Wendy encourages women to develop a birth plan to help clarify personal expectations and minimize the chance of misunderstandings. She spends time with each woman, reviewing and refining her plan, as well as discussing realistic expectations and when to potentially reconsider options.
