Dr. Banister is trained to focus specifically on the disorders of the brain, spine, and peripheral nerves. Dr. Banister’s neurosurgery training consisted of seven years focusing on herniated disks, pinched nerves, lumbar, thoracic, and cervical spine disorders, tumors of the spinal column, brain and peripheral nerves, such as carpel tunnel.
Dr. Banister provides patients comprehensive evaluations with conservative non-surgical treatment options. Dr. Banister’s goal is to provide a patient experience with comfort and peace of mind that their diagnosis and treatment is accurate and when indicated, minimally invasive. For patients requiring surgery, Dr. Banister offers surgical procedures that can result in smaller openings/scars, shorter recovery times, less postoperative pain, and shorter hospital stays.
