William F. Bennett, M.D. is an internationally recognized, board-certified orthopedic surgeon with offices in Sarasota, Bradenton, and Venice, Florida. Dr. Bennett's practice philosophy has resulted in an individual patient-focused "boutique practice, which is very different from larger orthopedic groups. Dr. Bennett personally sees all of his patients and uses his substantial expertise and passion for problem solving to offer patients all of their treatment options. At Bennett Orthopedic and Sportmedicine, every patient is a unique individual with their own goals and activities and treatment preferences, deserving more than "one size fits all" medicine. In addition to more than 20 years as a surgeon, Dr. Bennett has spent the last eight years as a leader in the use of biologics such as stem cells and PRP in orthoepdics. Combining his expertise with the five different kinds of centrifugal equipment pieces he owns, Dr. Bennett has helped patients avoid surgery completely, or has used PRP or stem cells with surgery to speed healing and improve results. The fact that he has been using these cutting edge treatments for so long has allowed him to follow his patients' out comes for years while tailoring specific, customized treatments for different types of injuries. Dr. Bennett graduated from Wake Forest University in 1984 and the University of Connecticut Medical School in 1988. He completed his internship in Orthopedic Surgery at Baylor University Medical Center in 1989 and his Residency at the University of South Florida and University of Texas Health Center (1990-1993).
