Great OBGYN, very attentive and willing to answer questions. Genuinely cares about his patients and their reproductive health. Makes you very comfortable during what is often a nerve-wrecking bi-annual appointment.
However, I am in two minds about continuing because of the lack of assistance from his staff. Their system is a bit dated (i.e., unless you ask, they will not e-scribe prescriptions and will make you come back into the office to pick up a paper script), and they are not helpful or supportive when in need of a new prescription or renewal.
All in all, great doctor, great location, staff is courteous on day of appointment, but not very helpful when you need to follow up.

Do not use this doctor! He has terrible reviews and I wish I had listened to them. He makes patients come in every six months for birth control refills because he says its medically necessary when no other doctor I have used has ever required this (he obviously collects a copay). He also forces patients to pay a $45 annual admin fee for "healthcare compliance" which is completely ridiculous. Also requires $25 fee to transfer medical records. Terrible business practices.

Dr. Cooper himself is a wonderful doctor with a caring and comfortable bedside manner.
However, his office's administrative practices leave something to be desired. They seem to have a practice of nickel-and-diming patients for everything. I understand that running a practice takes resources -- but charging patients for almost everything they do, including faxing one year's worth of medical records to a new provider -- is overreach. Overall, I'm unimpressed with having to open my checkbook every time the office does a basic provider function. For that reason, I would not recommend to a friend.

I've tried to switch doctors before but he called back to keep me on as a patient. So I stayed. Big mistake.
I will be switching my OGBYN this year, and regret not switching sooner. My visits are always rushed with Dr. Cooper and his mind seems preoccupied with everything but the patient in the room.
It was also extremely off-putting when he sat me down post-exam and called me "kiddo" repeatedly. He brushed off a lot of my concerns and spoke to me in a very condescending tone.
Comment to doctor: You just looked at a 28 year old woman's vagina for 10 minutes. Please know your audience.

As someone who dreads the OBGYN, Dr. Cooper made it absolutely comfortable and painless. He always has a smile on and takes a genuine interest in your health. He answered all of my questions, however silly or trivial. His nurses and receptionists were also an absolute delight to work with. Great doctor for DC residents.

Both appointments I have made with Dr. Cooper have been great! This morning, I was in and out for a 6-month check up and pap in 25 minutes. However, I did not feel rushed even though the appointment was short. And as always, Dr. Cooper was friendly, thourough and attentive!

Really nice staff all around. It's a little confusing when you first walk in, you have to see the people on the right side of the check in desk. Other than that, Dr. Cooper was very nice, explained everything he was doing and there was tons of complimentary hand sanitizer.

I hate going to the gyno, I just hate it! But I still go once a year as I should. I have seen many throughout the years, in different countries, and I must say that Dr Cooper is the BEST gyno I have ever visited.
His staff is corteous and efficient, they make you feel at home from the very beginning, they smile and make your visit a pleasant experience.
About Dr Cooper, hats off! He is warm, sensitive, takes your time with you, tries to make you feel as comfortable as possible, smiles at all times and is super sweet.
I am definitely coming back, he just became my OB/GYN for good.
