I went to see Dr. Murray for anxiety issues. He uses a mindfulness/CBT approach that I have found very useful and easy to apply in my day to day life. Very kind and knowledgeable.

I offer a safe, respectful, collaborative and creative environment where we can explore both individual and relationship issues. The two are deeply connected, since our individual personalities are formed in relationship and expressed in relationship. Your concerns, whether they are distressing emotions, problematic patterns of behavior, or interpersonal conflict, are the starting place for a process of investigation, understanding, and change.
Together we will find ways to use who you are to change how you are.
I specialize in work with relationships: couples of every sexual orientation, families of various configurations, parents and their growing children, grown children and their aging parents. Improved communication skills open the way for curious and non-judgmental exploration of the way people's thoughts, words and behavior affect each other.
Gretta Keene, LCSW, and I work as co-therapists when doing couples or family therapy. We are convinced this dynamic increases the efficacy of our treatment. As a psychologist, I bring therapeutic assessment skills to our work, which provide additional maps for the journey toward insight and healing.
Bill Murray, PhD is a clinical psychologist with a background in assessment, gerontology and counseling for couples having marital problems. He has also worked extensively in trauma counseling for victims of accidents and is an EMDR practitioner. Bill is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Sandplay Therapists of America (STA) and has made numerous presentations at professional conferences.
In addition to conducting his private practice as a clinical psychologist, Bill has served as an associate professor and the head of a graduate counseling program.
